Here is a list of the funded projects the foundation has already implemented

  • Contributed $500 to Greenville Consolidated School for Attendance Initiative in 2025.
  • Contributed $20,000 to the YES Project fund in 2024 and $28,000 in 2025.
  • Provided financial assistance to Little Schoolhouse Childcare (LSC) for operational support 2024.

  • Provided financial assistance to LSC for staff trainings 2023-2026.
  • Provided financial assistance to LSC for playground fencing/safety mats and outdoor swings.
  • Provided financial assistance to purchase Hole in the Woods Childcare and create the new nonprofit Little Schoolhouse Childcare and expand from 8 children to having a license for 20 children.

Youth Education Sports (YES) Project – our building committee is working to move this construction project forward and hopes to start construction later this summer 2026.

COMMUNITY partner

We have currently partnered with the Town of Greenville and Greenville Public Schools to build a new facility on school grounds that will house a new childcare center with space for 64 children, 1 preschool classroom with space for developmental assessments and therapy, and age appropriate playgrounds. This collaborative project will also include a new recreation center for the town, featuring an education classroom, shared kitchen with concession stand as well as an onsite fitness center.

We are excited to share that our fundraising campaign is underway and we anticipate breaking ground this summer! We received a very generous donation for $100,000 to start the 2026 fundraising season. The Town of Greenville in partnership with Moosehead Caring for Kids Foundation was awarded a Northern Border Region Commission Catalyst Grant for $1,000,000 to be used for the YES Project. This grant will be added to the Community Project Funding grant previously awarded to MCFKF for $1,561,000;  and the over $425,000 raised by MCFKF from our very generous community individual donors and local business donors as well as from fundraising events.  We need to fundraise another $200,000 to be able to meet the 80/20 required funding match for the federal grants. Monies raised in excess of $200,000 will be used for additional needs like fencing and playground equipment.

We are very grateful for the continued support by Senator Susan Collins and Senator Angus King and their staff for the project that is so important to Greenville families.

We are seeking new members to join our organization. If you are interested, please go to the contact page and request an application.
